Ramadan and Fasting...Yes, Another Fasting Poem...

Hello. I am back with more poems, this time about Ramadan.

Ramadan this year is very fun
I think it is the best year yet!
Potlucks at the masjid
but only for the weekends,
Friends and family there,
It's really very fun!
Oh, the food! The dessert!
Annoying little kids
finishing it all.
Tarawih prayer
and tarawih babysitting.
Questions, Quran, and competitions,
It's really very cool!
And I can't wait
to see what Eid
will be like in twenty-twelve!
Have a great Ramadan!

I'm so hungry!
You groan as you lounge around weakly on the couch.
You go and take a nap
and wake up as a grouch.

I'm so hungry!
You think as you use the computer.
You suddenly groan
as you find out
the computer needs a troubleshooter.

I'm so hungry!
You moan as you set the table for Iftar.
You suddenly drop a liquid-filled cup
And it spills on the ground like tar.

I'm so hungry!
You think as you sit weakly in your seat.
Waiting for Maghrib,
suddenly the athaan sounds! Now you can eat!

The Tomato Frog

Here is a poem of the Tomato Frog.

~The Tomato Frog~

Tomatoes are my favorite veggie!
Hence, my like for them goes to tomato frogs too!
Ever heard of tomato frogs?

Too bad. I will tell you about one now.
Orange and yellow are the colors, and obviously red,
Making this frog totally outstanding.
Adorable they are, with their very fat bodies.
Too cute to kill!
Oh my god!

Fat, swelled, round bodies,
Red smooth skin,
Orange too,
Goodbye, and I hope you enjoyed!

Playing Games

Your mom sees you at the computer
playing games.
She annoyingly says,
"Stop! From now on, play that game for one hour a day every week!"
You groan, push the keyboard in, and stop away to your room.
And you SLAM THE DOOR!!!

Fasting

"Wake up!" your mom or dad says,
"It's time for suhoor!"
You jump out of bed, before dawn,
Because today is the most special of all days!
You eat your food,
then you head off to the bathroom to brush your teeth.
Then you go to pray Fajr.
The rest of the day goes on,
until the sun has set.
You eat your Iftar,
such as milk and dates,
then you go to pray Maghrib.
And that's all there is to it to fasting!

Food is what you eat, before Fajr.
A lot of reward you get, for fasting!
Suhoor is what your breakfast before Fajr is called.
The shaytan (devil) are chained up.
Iftar is what your dinner before Maghrib is called.
Now get out of bed and eat suhoor!
Good work!

Venus

Venus is
A hot small mini sun,
A burning fireball,
Kick the ball hard,
Play with the fireball,
Soccer or Hot Potato,
A fun sweat game!

A Tortilla

A tortilla is
A hot Frisbee that looks like the moon,
Frisbees are fun to play with,
Fun to throw at the playground,
SPLAT! Oops. Did I throw it at your face?

Frogs

Smooth, wet
Swimming, jumping, croaking,
Everybody thinks they're slimy,
...they're not.
